Welcome to my blog.
This is a blog based upon all the delicious smells leaving the kitchen every Saturday morning. That sweet smell my family just can't wait to get their hands on. Well good news for all you folks is that I shall be sharing my baking adventures and letting you in to secrets along the way. We all find our best recipes from somewhere, you know the ones that get requested by your friends and family over and over again!
Before we begin I would like to state that I do have dyslexia and whilst I do try my best to be literate the more excited I get and the quicker I have to share an idea with you all the sloppier my grammar is. So from the start I apologise for this. However stick with me if you can as I will be reviewing the recipes from famous celebrity chefs, trying out those Great British Bake Off inventions and even making my own up along the way. For those non-bakers of you out there don't panic with a little guidance I will help you create a nice birthday surprise for your partner/family even if the kitchen in a foreign place and you do not have a kitchen full of technical equipment or the basis for baking like those scales most of us could not live without. I shall review products on the market and debate whether I really would go to all that effort to bake from scratch or whether for unexpected guests or for those non bakers amongst us whether a packet mix will do the job, because sometimes it really is the thought that counts! I will include hints and tips, tell you what did and didn't work for me and even include pictures along the way.
So put on those aprons, get those mixing bowls at the ready and be prepare to wow your family and friendly with delicious bakes. Join in along the way with suggestions for next weeks bakes and let me know how you get on with your bakes including any alterations you found worked better as there is always room for improvement. Most of all everyone, enjoy and make sure you get a piece of the cake!
Much love
The Sweet Tooth Fairy
